October 23, 2006 - Long Beach, CA
Tabtronics is pleased to announce that Victor Quinn, CTO of Tabtronics will be presenting a Professional Advancement Course at the 2006 Power Electronics Technology Exhibition and Conference in Long Beach California.
Successful power electronics is based heavily on effective transformer design and development. High frequency power supply applications can cause transformer leakage inductance, distributed capacitance, and interwinding capacitance to have significant impacts on circuit operation causing setbacks in product development leading to multiple design iterations or compromised results.
This presentation utilizes normalized concepts of loss and energy density to develop powerful methods that facilitate effective transformer design and development Practical examples will demonstrate that these normalized methods promote rapid prediction of comprehensive transformer parameters, objective consideration of core geometry tradeoffs, and improved insight to optimal configurations.
